More progress

Well right after i took these screen shots maya crashed and just about everything i did has no been erased from the previous images. good thing is i know how to do it more efficently but still very annoyed.

That sucks that you lost a lot of your work. That's just how maya is sometimes. She can be a real bitch. One way to make that doesn't happen again is to be constantly saving your files. After you make a major change, just save a new version of the file. I always save my files with the date and time I saved it, i.e. 041509_1100AM. Make up your own system. You're headed in the right direction with the construction of your character, but he still seems very boxy. You should use the lattice technique that Charlotte talked about in her comment last week. You can really change geometry quickly that way. You could also select the outside vertices and use the scale tool to shift the vertices in more. That way you could get a more rounded shape. Alright ill try that i first wanted to build up the full form from basic extrusions then use the lattice points to create the better fianlized version
